We welcome members to post about new music they've discovered, their own music, or gigs and events they are involved in, including commercial ventures, and engage in some self-promotion as long as it is 1) relevant to alternative music or related stuff in Bristol and 2) You don't post about these things more than once a month.

The Alternatives’ Conclave is a community based around a love and passion for live music and various alternative subcultures. The city of Bristol has one of the best alternative music scenes in the UK with gigs most nights of the week, and our group has a focus on creating a space for like-minded alternative music fans to connect and share their joint love of the music and art of the scene. Whether you're joining as someone looking to make friends, promote gigs or share memes you are more than welcome to join our FB group and get involved and connected to Bristol’s alternative culture scene.
On the fourth Sunday evening of every other month* we have a laid back social gathering and a few drinks at the Hatchet. This is an opportunity to meet the community, network with other bands and fans, find new band members and get to know like-minded folk.
This is also an opportunity to really express yourself through what you wear (if you want to). Get "all gothed up" and you'll be in an environment with supportive misfits just like you! Whether it's Metal, Punk, Goth, Steampunk, Cyberpunk or anything else, feel free to dress however you want!
You can find us upstairs in the first-floor bar area which is reserved for our gathering. A few of us will be wearing Conclave t-shirts ready to welcome you and introduce you to some new people.
All of our events are free but please can we encourage you to grab food and drink at the bar as we want to support the venue as much as possible!
The address is 27 Frogmore St, Bristol BS1 5NA and we begin to gather from 7:30 pm. So, if you're brand new, feel free to hold off 'til 8 pm so things are in full swing when you arrive.
